Trump is Back on Twitter
While
I think it is time to open negotiations with the Taliban and recognize them as
the current government of Afghanistan, if not for any other reason than to
secure the safety of Americans, former Afghan allies within Afghanistan where
they should be allowed to stay, and any other minorities in the country rather
than displacing millions of people, I have to marvel at the way Twitter gives a
platform to the Taliban while simultaneously banning a former President from
their platform.
Should
the leaders of the Taliban be allowed to speak about what official policy etc.
in their own country? Yes.
Should
the former US President also be allowed to speak? Yes.
Is it
alright for Twitter to have control over which voices can be heard, whether
they be on the left or right? No.
Should
these big tech monopolies including Amazon, Facebook, Twitter etc. be broken up
by the Dept. of Justice? Yes.
Should everyone move to new platforms regardless of what happens? Yes.
